Nat, these folks are barking up the wrong tree. Number 1, the sheriff is the only constitutional office of law enforcement. The others including the FBI, ATF, and others are not. As sheriffs, we are sworn to uphold the Constituation of the United States and the state in which we are elected. To this, most, if not all, sheriffs including me will hold solid. Good to hear from you. T

February 24, State Solicitor L.W. Lewis said that neither the state nor the common law grants arrest powers to the county sheriffs."
