Bad Parents

The National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse has discovered  the obvious: "Problem parents enable teens to abuse prescription drugs, marijuana, alcohol". and some even encourage their teens "...to use and abuse tobacco, alcohol, and illegal and prescription drugs.”

Is this a surprise? Many of today's parents were mumbling members of the degenerative "Tune in-turn on-drop out" culture of the 60's. They turned their backs on the culture of their parents and did whatever felt good. How could those who survived be expected today to have anything of lasting value to pass on to their kids?

Let's Get Together; Reps AND Dems

There are less than six months until the election, an election that will
decide the next President of the United States. 
 The person elected will be the president of all Americans, not just the 

Democrats or the Republicans. 
To show our solidarity as Americans, let's all get together and show 

each other our support for the candidate of our choice. It's time that 

we come together, Democrats and Republicans alike.. 
If you support the policies and character of John McCain, please drive

with your headlights on during the day. 
 If you support Obama, please drive with your headlights off at night.

Speaker Pelosi should be swept from office.

Speaker Pelosi will not allow our elected Congress to vote on offshore drilling - a vital issue.

Nancy Pelosi, an elected politician, has every right to vote her opinion, misguided as it may be, on any issue, but to use her position as House Speaker to prevent a vote that would probably support what the vast majority of American citizens want is a shocking abuse of power and no better than fascism.

She should be removed from office at the earliest. I don't know the mechanism for doing this, but I believe most Americans would support it.
