Mahmoud Ahmadinejad speaks

It is reported that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad declared the following in a speech today:

        "Everybody has understood that Iran is the number one power in the world.
        "Today the name of Iran means a firm punch in the teeth of the powerful and it puts them in their place."

OK, what's going on here?

1. He is trying to goad Western powers into attacking his country because:
    a. He is insane.
    b. He knows something that we don't.

Who's fault next time?

Whenever a tragedy happens, the recovery includes thundering accusations as everyone in authority tries to blame someone else. But today the strain is lessened by news that will make it a lead-pipe cinch to lay blame where it belongs when we must recover from  the next massive slaughter of innocent Americans.

Reuters reports that the Democratic-led House of Representatives recessed without replacing an expiring spy law with one that would shield telephone companies from lawsuits...the law that helps find the uncivilized among us who hope to die and enjoy the services of umpteen virgins in paradise by reason of the number of Americans they can butcher.

I'm afraid it is a measure of the degradation of our once proud Democratic Republic, that powerful politicians are now free to put their parties interest ahead of the safety and welfare of their country.

Wake up Republicans

Any Republican who fails to vote in the Presidential election because they don't care for the Republican nominee deserve to have the Republican party destroyed.

Why not? They're doing the destroying!
