The once-proud NY Times again puts politics above Country!
Incoming NYT Ed Page Editor Says 'Its Becoming Likely' the paper Will Call for Troop Withdrawal from Iraq.
Andrew Rosenthal, assuming the post Jan 1st, admits that he's not quite sure what to make of current white House activities, but says "its becoming more likely" the paper will call for withdrawing our troops from Iraq.
We are rightly proud of our freedom to dissent, but in this case, I worry. Since weakening the resolve of one side of an argument, fistfight, shootout, or WAR, is relatively strengthening the other side, how can a rational American justify efforts to weaken the Commander-in-chief of our military forces in time of war?
I have to note that such efforts coincide closely with the proclaimed policies of the "Communist Party USA." Never heard of them? They are alive and well, with a website at http://www.cpusa.org/ .
I am not, for even a moment, suggesting that Mr. Rosenthal is a Communist, but I think it wise to remember the words of Nikita Khrushchev, Chairman of the Communist Party (of the USSR) during the Cold war.
In 1962 he wrote:
"We will take America without firing a shot.......We will BURY YOU!
"We can't expect the American People to jump from Capitalism to Communism, but we can assist their elected leaders in giving them small doses of Socialism, until they awaken one day to find that they have Communism. We do not have to invade the United States, we will destroy you from within".
Was he right? Is it happening?
